Offered for sale is a Mid-Continent Instrument Co. carburetor air temperature indicator, part number A604-1, with manufacturer reference MD-11-5.
This aircraft engine monitoring instrument displays carburetor intake air temperature, allowing pilots to detect potential carburetor icing conditions and apply carb heat as required.
The instrument features a clear analog dial with caution range markings indicating the temperature range where carb ice formation is most likely.
Typical applications include general aviation aircraft equipped with carbureted engines, including many Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, and experimental aircraft.
The gauge was removed from a serviceable aircraft during panel modernization and remains in excellent pre-owned condition.
